I won't keep you long. I hear zombies out in the yard and that old door sure as hell won't keep them out. So in the few quality moments we have together I want to explain how to read Dead Ends and how it came to be. First, the directions:
• Dead Ends is an interactive story. At times you will have to decide the best course of action for the characters. Make a good choice and you'll live to read some more. Make a bad choice and you'll kill them! The goal is to live to the end.
• The links can be randomized. The choices you make could potentially have two or more outcomes. So even if you make the same choice twice, you can get different results. Even the bad choice you made the first time might be a good choice next time!
• Say you made a bad choice and are starting over, if it seems like you've ended up at the same bad choice again...keep reading. Some sections start the same but end differently! Don't get discouraged.
• No, you can't just flip back to your previous choice and change your mind. You have to start over at the beginning of that chapter.
Now that the directions are out of the way, maybe you'd like to know a little bit of "behind the scenes" info. Don't worry, I think we have time. I'll speak softly and maybe the zombies won't know we're in here.
